Two document tools. One less thing to do.

Your documents, ready for whatever comes next.

Extract text from PDFs or turn plain text into a downloadable PDF, right in your browser.

No signup. No document uploads.

From file to finished.

Choose the direction you need. The rest is a short sequence.

PDF to Text

  1. Choose your PDF.

Drop a file into the extractor. If it is locked, enter its password.

  2. Find the words.

Extract selectable text. For a scan, run the separate English OCR step.

  3. Make the result useful.

Review and edit the text, then copy it or download a TXT file.

Text to PDF

  1. Bring your text.

Paste notes, a letter or a draft. Blank lines create breathing room.

  2. Set the page.

Choose paper size, orientation, margins and a readable font size.

  3. Take it with you.

Download a PDF with automatic wrapping, page breaks and page numbers.

Words or pictures of words?

They can look the same on screen. Your PDF stores them differently.

A sentence you can select.

Selectable-text PDF

Try selecting a sentence in your PDF reader. If it highlights individual words, start with normal extraction.

PDF → Extract text → Review

A sentence saved as a picture.

Scanned or image-only PDF

If each page is a picture, extraction may find no text. English OCR can recognize clear printed words in that image.

Scan → English OCR → Review

OCR supports printed English on up to 20 pages. Check names and numbers carefully; low-quality scans, handwriting and other languages may not read reliably.

Your document.
Your device.

Conversion happens in your browser. Your PDF, text and custom font are not sent to PDFTextFlow.

What stays local

Document parsing, OCR recognition, text editing and PDF generation. Download the result to keep it; this is not cloud document storage.

What needs a connection

The website loads its own scripts and fonts. When you request OCR, Tesseract’s engine and English language data download from jsDelivr. Those resource requests do not upload your document.

Useful by design.
Honest about the edges.

Focused tools for plain text and PDFs, with limits that keep browser processing manageable.

A few things worth knowing.

Practical answers before you start.

What can I do with PDFTextFlow?

Extract selectable text from a PDF, edit the extracted result and save a TXT file. Or turn plain text into a paginated PDF. PDFTextFlow does not edit the original PDF, redact it or export Word files.

Do I need an account or a subscription?

No. Both converters are free to use without signup. Your workspace exists in the current browser session; download the result before leaving.

Why does a scanned PDF need an extra step?

A scan contains pictures of words, not actual text characters. Optional English OCR reads those pictures. It works best on clear, upright printed English, supports up to 20 pages and needs recognition resources downloaded from jsDelivr.

Will my document leave my device?

The converters process the PDF, text and any custom font in your browser. They do not upload those contents. The website still downloads its assets; optional OCR also downloads the recognition engine and English language data from jsDelivr.

What should I check before using the result?

Review reading order, names, numbers and line breaks after extraction or OCR. Open generated PDFs in a reader to check page breaks and characters. Complex tables, handwriting and scripts that require shaping may need extra review.

Pick up where your document leaves off.
